Former Minister of Interior and ex-governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has praised President Tinubu as the driving force behind his successful conquest of Osun State.
Aregbesola made these remarks today during the Aregbe Grand Reception, a homecoming event organized by his supporters and friends in Oshogbo.
Aregbesola while speaking to his supporters expressed his deep gratitude to President Tinubu for motivating him to achieve victory in Osun State.
He revealed that after their tenure serving as political office holders in Lagos, they were directed to their respective home states during a meeting held in Badagry.
At this meeting, Asiwaju Tinubu, who is now the President of Nigeria, alongside other Yoruba elders, instructed them to wrest power from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the time.
Aregbesola also used the opportunity to urge the various factions within the All Progressive Party (APC) to reconcile their differences for the advancement of the party in the state. He emphasized the importance of unity and urged party members to put their disputes aside in order to achieve progress.
The Aregbe Grand Reception attracted a significant crowd, with attendees showing their support and solidarity for the former governor.
