Facts Behind The Blackmail And Lies Against O Ambulance Management

We will like to state that we,  the writers of this piece are bona-fide workers of Osun Ambulance Service. And we have been watching with keenly interest the unnecessary   controversies being generated by disgruntled elements among us,  and those who have been disengaged in particular. We will also like to state that our utmost interest is to ensure that "bad belly politics", desperation, ambition and self-centeredness of some people is not allowed to cripple the smooth running of the agency, which is one of the most visible social intervention programmes of the state government.

As workers, we know that the ongoing report being circulated around, mostly on Social Media, by a fraction of the workers of the O ambulance against the management of the agency is far from the truth. The allegations against the management of the scheme are not just frivolous but only existing in the imaginative mind of the sponsors of such false report.

We will like to state that the ongoing controversies in O ambulance is as a result of efforts to sanitise the scheme and make it more useful to the benefit of the people of Osun State, which majority of us welcome.

For the consumption of the general public, The sanitisation involves making each and everyone of us - the O ambulance workers efficient and accountable for medical materials and vehicles in our custody.

The sanitisation of the agency, aimed at curbing absenteeism, fraud, laziness and indiscipline, which were the order of the day among us - paramedics and drivers, is the reason why the purveyors of falsehood are making frivolous allegations against the General Manager of the agency,  Dr Segun Babatunde and the matron, Mrs. Rasheedat Alao.

The disgruntled workers, being sponsored by a fellow who has interest in becoming the head of the agency are just out to blackmail the management because of their efforts in checkmating their fraudulent and indiscipline activities.

As paramedics and drivers, we know that the management is doing well as far as we are concerned, only the lazy ones among us are complaining. We need to tell the world that majority of the blackmailers are disengaged staff members of the agency.

The O Ambulance management, under the leadership of Dr Segun Babatunde and Mrs Rasheedat Alao is friendly to us. Before their time, we used to by our T-shirt at the rate of N2500, but the present management provided  it for us Free of Charge. The management also provide ID card for us freely which we used our money to buy before they came into the system. We have been having regular training since they came and our welfare is utmost priority to them. Every end of the year, we are always given rice and other things. We have never had it so good!

Presently, the management is recruiting the best hands to work with us now. The mode of recruitment is the best so far which will guarantees efficiency because we all pass through the basic test.

The current management is doing fine and very prudent. Most of the things they are doing are from the savings.

If handwork, efficiency and using little resources to achieve bigger result is still valuable in the present society, then the management of the O Ambulance should be commended for the effective running of  the agency.

Signed

O Ambulance Workers
