The Governor of State of Osun, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola has described the death of Mr Yinka Odumakin, the spokesperson of the pan-Yoruba group, Afenifere, as an irreparable loss to Yorubaland and Nigeria.
Oyetola stated this in his tribute to Odumakin during the funeral programme of the late activist in Moro, State of Osun, today.
The Governor said the contributions of the deceased to the enthronement and growth of democracy, good governance and a better Nigeria would not be forgotten.
He said: "On behalf of the Government and the good people of the State of Osun, I commiserate with Afenifere, the wife of the deceased, the children and the entire family over the demise of Mr Yinka Odumakin.
"It is my prayer that God Almighty will comfort his family and loved ones and grant his soul eternal rest."
