The House of Representatives Member representing Ijesha South Federal Constituency, Hon. Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni has alleged that a state lawmaker in the Osun State House of Assembly is after his life.

made this known in a telephone conversation with our Correspondent. He explained that he was in a meeting this morning when he received a call from an unknown number who claimed to be a thug and have been contacted by the state lawmaker to unleash attacks on him.
According to him, the caller said he called to tell him to either leave the venue of the meeting immediately or find a way to beef up security around him as they are coming in their large numbers to carry out the attack on him as sponsored by the state lawmaker.
Ayen said the thugs would have attacked him, if not for his philanthropic gestures for his people in the federal constituency and that the people have come to love and appreciate him.
He said he immediately notified Elder Kunle Odeyemi and others at the meeting of the intended attack on him as explained by the caller and also swing into action by calling the DPO of the two major police stations in Ilesha, the DSS and even the local Vigilante to beef up the security around him and at the venue of the meeting as advices by the caller.
Though, Ayeni did not mention the name of the lawmaker alleged to have sponsored the thugs but he said he knows the person and will reveal the name at the appropriate time.
Ayeni said that they were in a meeting summoned by Elder Kunle Odeyemi in his resident with some selected APC in Ijesha South Federal Constituency which include the Speaker of the OSHA, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye, the Chairman of SUBEB, Engr. Ajibola Famurewa, the Honourable Commissioner for Works and Transports Engr. Oluremi Omowaiye, and the member representing Ilesha West State Constituency, Hon. Wale Adedoyin among others.
“I was in a meeting this morning, we were holding a meeting with one of our leaders, Elder Kunle Odeyemi. We were seven in number. He called us to settle an issue as regards ilesa west local Government area when I received a call from a man who refused to mention his name. He only told me he is one of the thugs that have been sponsored by a lawmaker to attack him. He said they were on their way that I should leave the venue of the meeting with immediate effect or I mobilised security men and which I did immediately by calling the DOP of Ilesha police station, the vigilante, the DSS to build up security.
“The thug explained how they were being sponsored to attack and harass me out of the venue of the meeting. He told me name of the lawmaker that sponsored the attack. I had earlier cautioned the lawmaker about his utterances at a meeting.
“I had hot altercation with the lawmaker at a meeting yesterday when I cautioned him because of his utterances and he has promised to unleash terror on me, I thought it was just a mere threats not until this morning that he carried out his threats.
“I have reported the matter at the Ayeso police station in Ilesa. I want all the security agents to come to my aid because my life is very precious to me.”
