Zakat foundation distributes clothes to over 700 less privilege in Osun


Over 700 people have benefited from materials distributed by the Zakat and Sadaqat Foundation, in Ila-Orangun, Osun State. 



Materials distributed during the event tagged 'Infaqul-Afuw' include clothes, shoes, kitchen utensils, bags among others. 


Declaring open the distribution on Sunday, the Grand Imam of Ila-Orangun, Sheikh Salahudeen Abdul-Hammed Ishola, urged people to emulate good gesture of Zakat and Sadaqat Foundation by partnering it in all its services. 


He advised people to contribute whatever they can afford while living before death comes.


Earlier, the Osun State Administrative Officer of the Foundation, Mallam Moshood Olaoye, said the programme was aimed at making tge less privilege in the society happy. 


In his welcome address, the state coordinator of the foundation, Mallam Iyiola Mikahil Oyedeji, listed various services of the foundation.  


The services includes Zakat collection and distribution, Sadaqat collection, Waqf (Endowment), Infaqul-Afuw (New and fairly used materials), Mosque Project, Community Projects, senior citizens welfare, widows and orphans supports, Iftar saim (feeding of fasting Muslims in Ramadan), Correctional Facilities Inmate welfare, among others.
