Ifetedo was agog on the 8th December, 2020 when the beneficiaries of the De Ben Initiatives vocational training welcomes the C.E.O of the Organization in person of Hon. (Engr.) Benjamin Olugbenga Ogundipe, member representing, Ife South State Constituency at the Osun House of Assembly who organised the skills acquisition program that lasted for almost three weeks for the youth of his constituency.
There was joy on the faces of the beneficiaries, who were on their feets singing praise the organiser of the program, for giving them the opportunity that has created the chances of self employments for them. As reactions were recorded from the beneficiaries who are not less than 1000 in their totality, leaders of each group of the the training sessions said, the intensive vocational training has added to their knowledge and that the privilege given to them by the lawmaker shall be appreciated for life.
While responding to our correspondents, Lamina Kamiludeen Omotoyosi, leader of the facilitating organisation, World Institute for Peace appalud the beneficiaries for their seriousness during the three weeks intensive vocational training and advised them to be more focused and not relenting in revising on what they have learnt during the long term lectures.
Hon. (Engr.) Benjamin Olugbenga Ogundipe in his statement, lauds the beneficiaries for their seriousness as learnt from the facilitator and pledge to support them in batches. The lawmaker further said that, the project is designed within the context of his manifesto during the electioneering campaign while vying for his current political post and that, it is in line to supporting the good agenda of Gov. Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola in banishing unemployment in the state. Meanwhile, the program is not in anyway biased as beneficiaries were picked without any form of sentiment.
Government officials at the grand finale of the program where beneficiaries were able to display what they have learnt were Hon. Bar. Olubukola Olaboopo, Osun Commissioner for Women, Children and Social Affairs and Hon. Henry Olaonipekun, Osun Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives and Empowerment. They both pledged government supports for the beneficiaries in due cause as they commend Hon. Benjamin Olugbenga Ogundipe for organising such a huge program that will surely reduce unemployment rate in the state.
