Ayedire LG Chair Aspirant Congratulates Monarch, Indigenes On 2020 Kuta Day

A frontline aspirant for the chairmanship of Ayedire Local Government, Basiru Adedokun is felicitating Kuta indigenes, on the occasion of the 2020 Kuta Day Celebration. 


Basiru Adedokun in a press statement made available to newsmen in Ileogbo on Friday said Kuta is a blessing to Osun state and Nigeria at large.



He commended the Olowu of Owu Kuta, Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama, Tegbosun III, whom he said Kuta has been witnessing tremendous development since he has ascended the throne of his forefathers.


"Ever since Oba Oyelude Makama ascended the throne, he has been trying to bring sons and daughters of kuta both home and abroad back home to invest in the town".


"Recall that Oba Makama Facilitated the construction of an ancient bridge which links Kuta with Ede community.


"Also he single-handedly built a police station, procured a patrol vehicle for the police and so many more I can't speak about. Indeed, he is a blessing not only to Kuta but also Nigeria at large." 


The grassroots politician from Ileogbo who urged the citizens to observe COVID-19 precautions and celebrate modestly said “ COVID-19 has taught us numerous things. To persevere, embrace cleanliness, personal hygiene and keeping a safe environment.


“As we celebrate Kuta day this year, let's pray to God to heal our land from this dreadful pandemic. Likewise, let us use this occasion to pray for sustainable peace and progress in our motherland."
