A leading aspirant for Olorunda North LCDA, Hon. Sakirat Adeoye Iyaniwura has promised to work towards a rise in the internally generated revenue of the LCDA through agricultural revolution in the council.
Hon. Adeoye said agriculture and vocational education are key ways to promote sustainable development in the community.
The chairmanship aspirant made the statement while addressing ward executives at the All Progressives Congress Olorunda North party office in Osogbo.
Hon. Adeoye representing Olorunda North Ward 9A, Oba Ile also promised to engage the young population through intensive vocational training for 5,000 Youths if elected.
She emphasized the importance of vocational education in the society saying “vocational education helps people to perform better in their jobs” adding that "this will enhance them to acquire veritable skills to make money.”
“Vocational education is a training that equips the Youths with practical experience and technical skills in a specific type of field that is capable of contributing to the country’s economy and make one independent.”
The grassroots politician from Oba Ile added that women are more productive in politics urging government at all levels to empower them as measures to sustain good governance.
Also point out to be commitment to put smiles on the faces of the widows in the society, promised the constituents quality and sound representations aimed at improving their living standard.
“I will continue to assist the windows, orphans and other people of my Local Government and Osun state at large in order to improve on their standard of living.”
Hon. Sakirat pledged to continued partnership with the association for peace and overall development of the Olorunda LCDA.
Hon. Adeoye enjoined Progressives to support Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for a second term in office.
"In history, Oba Ile has not produced any political office holder. This is why we must support this cause. I promise to also cater for women, the widows the less privileged and orphanages across the local government especially those at the grassroots.
"If given the mandate, we will work assidiously to promote peace and entrench good governance in all areas. Women and Youth empowerment will be our major priority.
"Mr Adegboyega Oyetola is doing very well. We should all support him for a second term so his good works can continue. I urge you to continue to work for our party to remain victorious at all times."
